The operator of wendys-menus.us (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit wendys-menus.us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Overview
Wendy's Menu USA is An editorial publication. We are a small newsroom, not an ad-tech company, and we collect only the minimum information needed to publish the site, respond to readers, and understand aggregate readership. We do not sell personal information.

2. Who we are
The site is operated by the publisher reachable at privacy@wendys-menus.us. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR, we act as the “data controller” for personal data collected through this website.
3. Information we collect
a. Information you provide. When you email us, submit a review, submit a correction, or fill out a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and any content you send us.
b. Information collected automatically. When you visit the site our servers and our analytics provider record standard log data: IP address (truncated for analytics), user-agent string, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, viewport size, approximate country and region derived from IP, and timestamps. This information is used to render the site, prevent abuse, and measure aggregate readership.
c. Information we do not collect. We do not collect payment information (we do not charge readers), we do not link to your Wendy’s app account, we do not collect biometric or precise geolocation data, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Publish, secure, and operate the site;
- Respond to your emails, corrections, and story tips;
- Publish reviews you submit through the site;
- Measure aggregate readership (page views, popular articles, referring sources);
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, spam, and abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: (i) our legitimate interests in operating an editorial website, securing it, and understanding readership, weighed against your rights and freedoms; (ii) your consent for non-essential cookies and email correspondence; and (iii) legal obligations where processing is required by law.
6. How we share information
We share personal information only with the categories of recipients below, and only when necessary:
- Service providers that host the site, deliver email, process analytics, and store files. These providers act as our “processors” and are contractually bound to use the data only for services performed on our behalf.
- Advertising networks when advertising is served on a page you visit (see the Advertising section below).
- Legal and safety disclosures where required by valid legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wendy's Menu USA, our readers, or the public.
- Successors as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.
7. Cookies & similar technologies

8. Analytics
We use a privacy-respecting web analytics provider to measure aggregate readership. Analytics cookies are first-party, IP addresses are truncated before storage, and no individual profiles are built. You may opt out via your browser’s Do Not Track setting, Global Privacy Control, or any tracker-blocking extension.
9. Advertising & Google AdSense Disclosure
When advertising is served on this site, it is delivered by third-party ad networks including Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager. Google uses cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Center (myadcenter.google.com) or industry-wide at aboutads.info/choices (U.S.), youronlinechoices.eu (EU), or through your device settings. We do not accept sponsored content, native advertising, or affiliate-only reviews , see our Advertising page.
10. Third-party services
The site links to third-party websites (Wendy’s corporate pages, FDA pages, news sources). When you follow those links you are subject to the destination site’s privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
11. Data retention
We retain reader emails and correspondence for as long as necessary to answer your message and, where relevant, to maintain a public record of a correction or a submitted review (with any personal identifiers removed from the public record). Server logs are retained for up to ninety days for security and abuse prevention. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only.
12. Security
We use TLS in transit, access controls, and hardened infrastructure to protect the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we do not guarantee absolute security, but we treat reader data as we would want our own treated.
13. Children’s privacy
Wendy's Menu USA is a general-audience publication and is not directed to children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. International transfers
Wendy's Menu USA is based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand that information we collect is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by law, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors to safeguard international transfers.
15. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to (i) access the personal information we hold about you; (ii) correct inaccurate information; (iii) delete your information; (iv) restrict or object to processing; (v) portability; and (vi) withdraw consent. You may exercise these rights, without discrimination, by emailing privacy@wendys-menus.us. We verify requests by matching the requesting email to our records and, where necessary, asking one additional confirming question. We respond within thirty days.
16. Notice for California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the rights described in Section 15 above, plus the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. In the preceding twelve months, we have collected the categories of information described in Section 3 for the purposes described in Section 4 and disclosed the categories in Section 6 to the recipients listed there.
17. Notice for EU/UK/Swiss residents
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal data infringes applicable law. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concern directly.
18. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request for California residents. Because browser Do Not Track signals are not interpreted uniformly across the industry, we treat them as an additional signal that we should minimize tracking cookies for that session and disable personalized advertising.
19. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page and, for material changes, post a notice on the homepage for at least thirty days.
